As of July 2023, Google no longer supports Universal Analytics (UA). If you’re still using a UA property (e.g., UA-XXXXXXXXX), no new data is being collected. That’s why you might see empty reports in your web analytics tool.
What to do now:
- Set up a Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property
- Connect it to your website
- Check that data is being transferred correctly
Why it matters:
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is the new standard for website tracking. It offers better metrics, stronger privacy controls, and deeper integration with other Google tools.

A notice will also appear in the tool if UA data is still detected.
